It is with regret that from 17th September 2007 the Majorettes will be disbanding.
I would like to say a "Big Thank You" to all those that have kept the people of the town entertained with their dancing skills, and of course all their helpers.
Deputy Mayor . Cllr M. Thompson
----------------------------
Welcome to Culmside Majorettes.
We would just like to say thank you to everyone who has helped and supported us over the last two years. We started up the Troupe with just three committee members and a lot of ideas. We have now managed to completely kit out the Troupe with two uniforms, two sets of pom-poms and some batons.
Once again the girls have been working very hard, and are now learning new routines. Up until now the girls had only attended demonstrations and parades, the most recent being the Cullompton Christmas Parade (photo to follow). Now that we have become more established and the girls are more confident we are hoping to enter them in some competitions this year. The competition season starts in April. We will still mainly concentrate on the pom-poms.
We now have 20 girls but always welcome more. The troupe supplies all the uniform and equipment. If you or your child would be interested in joining the troupe then you are welcome to come along to our Monday training nights, held at St Andrew’s School, Cullompton. Times are 4.45pm to 5.45pm and Juniors and Seniors 5.45pm until 7.00 pm. First night is free.
